Staff& service are Wonderful! Never any complaints here but September 7,2023 I purchased 3 containers of spaghetti salad& it was sooooo extremely salty& heavily seasoned that I trashed it all.Also the mixed berry& pistachios muffins were hard& so very dry! Slaw always great as usual but the above mentioned leaves a lot to b e desired.Very disappointed Muffins have been ok in the past,I'm thinking that these were maybe not changed out for awhile .A long while.Sorry for the negative review but it's honest at least. For the most part, A Great Store
A small locally owned market. It has local produce when in season. Stocks items that the big name stores don't have. Staff is extremely helpful, professional and good natures.
We love this supermarket. It may not have a big, modern store atmosphere but I'll take the country pleasantness any day! Their meat is so good and well priced and the produce is country fresh! Staff are always willing to help you locate something! This supermarket beats all of the other big names and deserves the 5 stars. Keep up the good work...we're willing to drive.
I LOVE shopping at Slaughter's! The staff is always super nice, present, and helpful. I have never had a time that someone didn't approach me and ask if I was finding everything. They will even take your groceries to your vehicle for you! They will also order whatever you want that they may not have, and will even order cases of food to help stock up for a snowy winter. The store is efficient and always has everything I want. I can't imagine shopping anywhere else for groceries in Floyd!
We stayed in a cabin not far from Floyd and stopped here to get some steak and potatoes. For 2 filets that were 2 inches thick and about 10oz each, we only paid $18. We thought for sure for the price that the meat would not be good, but it was amazing. Fresh and tender. We were able to get all the staples we needed too. The employees were really helpful and loved their fun personalities. The only thing they don't sell is alcohol just as an FYI, but there are plenty of stores nearby that do. We can't wait to go back to the cabin and will for sure be shopping here again.
Love this grocery store! Wish they had a chain of stores! Gladly drive 50+ miles to shop at Slaughters!
